How Rigid Prints collects, uses and protects your personal data under UK GDPR.

1. Who we are
Rigid Prints is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and our ordering system. You can reach us via the contact page.
2. What we collect
- Account details: name, email, password hash.
- Order details: shipping address, phone number, order history.
- Uploaded files: the 3D model files (STL, STEP, 3MF, etc.) you submit for quoting and production.
- Payment metadata: handled by Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and basic analytics about how the site is used.
3. Lawful basis
We process your data under the following lawful bases under UK GDPR: (a) performance of a contract, to produce and ship your order; (b) legitimate interests, to operate and improve the service and prevent fraud; and (c) legal obligation, to keep financial records.
4. How we use your data
- To produce, dispatch and track your order.
- To send you transactional emails (order confirmations, dispatch notices, support replies).
- To meet our accounting and tax obligations.
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
5. Sharing
We share data only with the processors we need to deliver the service: Stripe (payments), our cloud hosting and database provider, our email delivery provider, and shipping carriers (Royal Mail, DPD and similar). We do not sell your data.
6. Retention
- Order and account records: 7 years (UK accounting requirement).
- Uploaded model files: automatically deleted a configurable period after delivery (default 90 days). See our File & IP Policy.
- Marketing data: until you unsubscribe.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete or port your data, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the contact page.
8. International transfers
Some of our processors may transfer data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK Adequacy Regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to ensure appropriate safeguards.
